David McCullen

David McCullen has been in the healthcare industry for more than 25 years. In 2009, he and Paul Carpenter founded Anesthesia Associates of Mississippi (AAMS) to partner with facilities to promote better anesthesia service at a more economical cost. In 2013, the company added several other service lines and they renamed it Willow Anesthesia Solutions.

As President, David engineers, monitors, and refines company processes to assure the highest level of service to the patients, along with the facilities and physicians. He also is involved in public relations, marketing, and benefits plans.

Prior to 2009, David worked as a staff CRNA in all specialties of anesthesia. During this time he realized that there was a void of anesthesia service that focused on the patients, hospitals, and physicians as the customer instead of necessity. This is when the business plan for Willow took shape.

After earning a Bachelor of Science and Nursing degree from Northwestern State University, David worked in multiple aspects of the healthcare industry including management, scheduling, and quality. In 2005, he received a Master’s degree with an emphasis in anesthesia from La Roche College in Pittsburgh, PA.

He started his career in the durable medical equipment field where he was responsible for inventory, delivery, and maintenance.

David has been married to his high school sweetheart for over 20 years. He is the father of three girls, ages 8, 14, and 18. He enjoys hunting, fishing, playing golf, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his family. David is an involved member of First Baptist Church in Oxford and serves on the Mission Board.
