Paul Carpenter

In 2009 Paul Carpenter, along with partner David McCullen, founded Anesthesia Associates of Mississippi (AAMS) to provide turnkey anesthesia solutions to hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers in the Southeast. AAMS naturally evolved into Willow Anesthesia Solutions when the company expanded to offer billing management services.

As a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), Paul has dedicated the past twelve years to practicing anesthesia and improving the management and the billing side of the business. He is responsible for all new business, as well as managing each practice location and our providers to grow our relationships. Paul works closely with the customer development team to improve targeted marketing strategies as well as provider interaction approaches.

Prior to 2009, Paul served as a CRNA and manager of anesthesia services at Baptist Hospital North Mississippi for five years. As manager, he was responsible for scheduling, cost containment of pharmaceuticals, and employee evaluations for fifteen providers.

He began his anesthesia career in 2002 as a staff CRNA at Tupelo Anesthesia Group and as the clinical coordinator for University of Tennessee Health Science Center nurse anesthesia students.

During the years 1989 to 2009, Paul was enlisted in the U.S. Army reserves. During this time he was deployed to Iraq. He participated in four maneuver missions that provided support to 1st infantry division and 2nd armored cavalry regiments. He also served a tour at Brook Army Medical Center supporting wounded warriors. He retired in 2009 with the rank of Captain.

Paul is currently the President-elect for the Mississippi Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA). In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and cooking.
